Minimum Wage Increase October 2016
Back in April 2016 we had the introduction of the National Living Wage for those over 25 and for those under 25 there will be an increase in minimum wage from October 2016.
The national living wage rate will change every April and the minimum wage rates will change every April.
The rates will increase as follows:
Now From October 2016
25 and over £7.20 £7.20
21 to 24 £6.70 £6.95
18 to 20 £5.30 £5.55
Under 18 £3.87 £4.00
Apprentices £3.30 £3.40
You must be school leaving age (see the government guide lines on school leaving age) to get the National Minimum wage and aged 25 or over to get the National Living Wage.
